Lip Enhancement
The procedure of lip enhancement is undertaken by performing a series of injections into the border or the body of the lips, or both, depending on the results we are trying to achieve. This is a very sensitive part of the face, so Dr. Horn usually uses anaesthetic in the form of a dental block (injections into the gums), to totally numb the lips.
After injecting the lips, the filler may then be moulded slightly to maximise smoothness; the whole procedure takes 20-30 minutes. Immediately after the procedure the lips will be swollen, but this will be largely settled by the following day. When the anaesthetic wears off, (within a few hours), the lips may be sore; this is readily eased by the use of ice and/or simple painkillers
